Day One – Cosmic Light, Genesis 1:3-5: God said “Let there be light.” It would be like God saying “turn on the light.” The word for create was not used here as God had already created light previously. This light was very strong and brilliant, generating a great amount of heat that melted the icy covering on the earth and formed water. The change from the darkness which encompassed the earth caused God to call the darkness “night” and the light “day.” The earth was passing out of the “night” of its history into the brightness of its “resurrection day.” From this point on we see each day’s work was an advance on the previous day’s work.

Day Two – Expanse Formed, Genesis 1:6-8: God said “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.” The expanse was called sky, meaning our atmosphere. This would imply that the “chaotic earth” either had no atmosphere, or that it was not adapted to the formation of clouds which would support water, and therefore divide or separate the waters in the atmosphere from the waters on the earth. So the second day’s work was the adjusting of the atmosphere to the needs of the present earth and a gaseous canopy being formed around the earth. Later this canopy will change to liquid.
Ah yes, Carbon 14 dating! Scientists use this method to determine the age of various artifacts. We hear huge numbers like, “this happened 325 million years ago.” How do they attempt to date something that old? Using Carbon 14 dating scientists take the rate of decay by moisture, knowing that it decays “x” amount. But Carbon 14 dating is set under a principle and no one knows how much humidity was present during the period of time that the canopy encircled the earth. We do know that there is going to be a lot more decay if something has been under the water for 150 days, like Noah’s flood which covered the whole earth, than there would be in the next 150 years at 14% humidity. The canopy that was formed over the earth totally changed the Carbon 14 rate and made things decay a lot faster. So Carbon 14 dating is not precise except under a certain level of humidity.

Day Three – Land & Vegetation Reappear, Genesis 1:9-13: God said “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” This is simply God reversing the cataclysmic convulsions that submerged the Pre-Adamic Earth, and by upheaval caused the earth to emerge from its watery grave. God didn’t create something new, this was a resurrection of the earth up out of the waters. Once this was accomplished God called upon the seeds, roots of plants, herbs, trees and all plants to germinate and sprout and grow again as they once did before the catastrophe that submerged the Pre-Adamite Earth. Assuming the catastrophe was what we know as the “Glacial Period” then the resurrection of plant life didn’t require a creative act. It was nothing more than what vegetation does in the spring of each year after the winter is over. The seed was already in the earth having been buried by the waters that swept over the Pre-Adamite Earth, and only needed the proper conditions to spring up and cover the earth with new plant life.
Notice in verse nine that God said: Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear. It may surprise the reader but all of the land was together at one time. So the question then is when did the earth break up into continents? The Bible specifically answers that question in Genesis 10:25. “Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided…” Peleg means “division.” This is when the continents were divided, in the days of Peleg. Science calls this “plate tectonics.”
Geography is a science and in the study of plate tectonics it shows for instance the east coast of South America fits into the west coast of Africa and they have exactly the same strata. The world is a mass puzzle that could be put together again into one mass.
Consider hieroglyphics! There are places in North America where there are hieroglyphics made by native American’s on the rocks. In fact some of the same hieroglyphics found in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky are found in South Africa. How is it that people came across the ocean from other shores? We think of the Polynesians and the way they used their boats. When in fact there was a time when all they had to do was walk.
