Day Four – Solar Light Restored, Genesis 1:14-19: God said “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years…” The appearance of the sun and the moon on the fourth day was not a new creation. They had existed in connection with the Pre-Adamite Earth and had not been destroyed when it was made waste. The word translated made in the 16th verse is not the same word that is translated created in verse one, and does not imply a creative act. What is meant is that from that time they were appointed to measure the days and years, and seasons as we know them today. In other words, on the fourth day “time” in contrast with “eternity” began.
Day Five – Creation of Fish & Birds, Genesis 1:20-23: God said “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” Here is the first time we come across the word create since the original creation of the earth in verse one. This shows that all animal life was destroyed in the catastrophe that fell upon the Pre-Adamite Earth. The fish and foul created on this day are the same that we have today. The fossil remains of huge marine animals and gigantic birds belong to the Pre-Adamite Earth.
Day Six – Creation of Animals & Creation of Man, Genesis 1:24-31: God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals each according to its kind” …Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness…” These land animals were the same kind as we have today. The fact that they were created according to its kind, which is repeated four times, shows that they were not evolved from one common beginning. All the different species of animals were created separately is proven from the fact when species are crossed their offspring are sterile.
That God created man shows that he has not descended from an ape. That the whole human race is of one origin is clear from the fact that when the different races of the earth’s inhabitants marry, their offspring are not sterile but fertile. This nullifies the argument that the whites and blacks are of different origins, and that the white race alone are descended from Adam. Acts 17:26 states that “from one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth.”
There is no contradiction between the first and second chapters of Genesis as to the creation of man. The first chapter (Genesis 1:26-28) gives the fact of the creation of man, the second is the manner of it. In chapter one God is spoken of as “Elohim,” the Creator, while in chapter two He is called “Jehovah” (the LORD) because there He is entering into covenant relations with man.
Adam was not created a baby or a primitive savage, but a full grown man who was perfect in intellect and knowledge, otherwise he could not have named the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air. Just consider the fact that Adam’s descendants had such skill in the invention of musical instruments and even whole cities, as well as a vessel the side of the Ark proves that the men even prior to the flood were men of gigantic intellect and accomplishments. So instead of man having evolved upward, he has degenerated downward.
Recall that God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning – the sixth day (Genesis 1:31). The heaven and the earth were restored and repopulated during the six days of the restoration week.
Day Seven – God Rested, Genesis 2:2-3: Scriptures tell us that by the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
